Courses in London and Paris
The aim of The Plant School is to nurture and develop a deep understanding of plants
The Plant School is concerned with all things "plants" and not on the more general term of "gardening". It is specifically involved with the understanding of how plants grow, the conditions they prefer as seen in their natural environment and how they interact with their surrounding environment. It draws together specialists on their plant subjects for the benefit of The Plant School students.
It helps with keeping costs down and these can then be passed on to the students.
We find that this is generally the easiest place for the students to get to. There are several garden trips on each course however and these may not be in Central London.
This allows for student flexibility and means that they can often follow the course while in other employment.
None. Rosemary believes strongly that each student is capable of completing the courses and should get what they require from the course in order to extend the knowledge they want. She does like students to have an enthusiasm for plants. The passion tends to come later!
They come from all walks of life, are all ages, both men and women. Some have already completed a first career and are looking for a change and a chance to do something they are genuinely interested in . Others may be entering the career world. Some are doing this earlier in their lives and others may have brought up a family and wish to continue an interest that they may have been unable to follow previously.
They go into the fields of garden design, plant photography, writing and the media where there are some notable successes. One previous student has set up a successful school teaching small children about plants. Some students continue to follow their plant interest in their own gardens, opening them to the public under various schemes and growing plants for sale.
Rosemary has lectured for many years and has a large number of ex- students. If you would like to get back in touch please let us know. There is generally a reunion once a year in London in Chelsea Flower Show week that allows for past students to exchange valuable information.
Rosemary would be happy to meet you to talk with you. Please contact her here.
