The Courses
The Plant Course
This course will be in its second successful year this September. It aims to give the student an introduction to plants.
The Specialist Plant Course
This course has been running successfully for several years and is aimed at the student who has already gained a basic understanding on plants. Students get a chance to visit plant collections and gardens of merit and their basic understanding of plants is extended.
The Tree Course
A unique new course for 2009
Plant Identification
These days aim to give the student an introduction to the correct way to identify and name plants as specified by The Royal Horticultural Society. Correct plant identification is always important in garden design, the media and in identification of our own garden plants and this course is ideal for allstudents wanting to gain further accuracy and understanding of their plants.

The Plant Tours
The tours have been organised specifically to back up the lectures at The Plant School and students from both The Plant Course and The Specialist Plant Course will get preferential places on the tours. It is aimed at helping students to understand how plants have become adapted to their natural habitat and how we can make use of this knowledge to grow them in our gardens.

The Tree Course
- 2009: 23rd September, 21st October, 18th November, 9th December
- 2010: 20th January, 24th February, 24th March, 28th April, 26th May, 23rd June
