These tours have been organised specifically to back up the lectures at The Plant School and students from the courses will get preferential places.

Throughout the tours the students are accompanied by expert local horticulturists or botanists. They aim to look at plants in their natural habitats leading to a better understanding of the way these plants should be grown and appreciated.

Recent plant tours have been to the Drakensbergs in South Africa in January 2011, the Cape Floral Kingdom of South Africa in November 2010, the Riviera in the South of France in May 2010 and 2008. A return to the Mediterranean region is proposed in 2012 and a Plant Tour of China is in the early stages of organisation for 2013.
